K-R is a marriage advocate and writer interested in midlife crisis and its effects on marriage. After her husband left, had an affair, and then moved in and out, she started The Hero’s Spouse website to provide information and support to abandoned spouses dealing with midlife crisis and infidelity. She believes that the defense of marriage should be actions to prevent divorce through understanding, healing and forgiveness.The Hero’s Spouse offers an online forum with a peer-mentor program for guiding newcomers through the first dark months following abandonment. Kenda-Ruth also offers coaching through the forum.
She lives with her husband, with whom she reconciled, in Washington state. They’re presently on a waiting list to become adoptive parents.
