The devastation caused by divorce in America each year is real and pervasive. And the toll it takes on men, women and especially children has far ranging negative consequences in every realm — financial, physical and emotional. “Families are torn in two, children grow up without a stable home or with a missing mother or father, and the legal system strongly encourages dissolution of marriage through policies such as no-fault divorce,” writes the Family Research Council, which recently assembled a panel of experts including writer and CDR co-chair Beverly Willett, CDR board member and co-chair of Marriage Savers Mike McManus, and marriage and family researcher Dr. Hilary Towers, to share ways in which they are working to curb the divorce epidemic in America.
